Does anyone send a message to any of the new members when they join? I don't remember from when I joined.
I think it would maybe help. If you look at the member list there are a lot but some haven't posted anything. Maybe if we all welcome them they would feel more at ease and start using this great forum

That's a friendly idea, but I think the new members are happy enough just getting replies to their questions. In my opinion that is the best way to make someone feel welcome-- help them.

Steven & all
It is unknown to me where everyone in the group is since most don't fill in all spaces but, Where I live now
" If you are walking down the street and another person passes you say howedy" By doing this you are passing along a friendly invite to the person you are passing to speak back" and most do. By offering a simple Welcome to new members I believe they feel more welcome. I probably like most others belong to other groups and have found a simple welcome makes me feel at home. But to each their own. So if it does not offend anyone I will do this. Please let me know if it is ok.
Thanks
Kevin

Kevin-
I have created a new board on the forum under Community called "Newbie Chat".  Here, the new members can say hello, ask questions about using the forum, and the seasoned members can welcome them to the board.  Thank you for the suggestion.
