Published since 1987, Clockmakers Newsletter is an eight page monthly newsletter for clock repairers and clockmakers. The publication has excellent photos and line drawings to back up the clearly written text. Readers have been able to learn to install bushings, cut their own clock wheels, adjust chime movements and escapements, and master just about anything else connected to clock repair. There are new and useful features every month. All the back issues are available, too. It's a clock repair library in itself!
Features include full-length articles, the classified ad page, repair tips, projects, questions and answers, and a column on modern clock repair! The clocks covered in the newsletter include modern, such as Hermle and Urgos, and older movements, such as American strikers and all kinds of chime clocks. There is also great coverage of grandfather, cuckoo, and 400-day clocks, just to mention three more. For an example of what kinds of articles to expect in the Newsletter, check out our What's New section.
To provide the best quality, the newsletter is printed from disk rather than from a photocopied "original". Readers are impressed these days by the editor's drawings and digital photos of workshop procedures. You will be too!
Interested in back issues? Check out the Online Store to order a single copy or an entire year of issues. You can also search for a particular topic in our online Searchable Article Index.

The Clockmakers Newsletter Expanded Index.
This 44-page index
references just about everything published in the newsletter from the first
issue, September 1987, through
the end of 2003. There are separate 2004, 2005, and 2006 index pages included. It's an indispensable tool for using your back issues most
effectively. Research a specific brand (Herschede, Hermle, Seth Thomas) or
find a listing of all references to a topic such as bushings or mainsprings..
The index is cardboard backed, plastic shrink wrapped, and mailed to you in an
envelope. We have printed the index on hole-punched paper, so all you
need to do is unwrap it and insert into your own binder. If you order the
new Expanded Index by itself, be sure to select the free
shipping option within the U.S., and the item will be sent by First Class Mail.
